Scott Menard had been racing his Chevy Corvette since 1989. The Headstrong Corvette's tube chassis was built in 1993 by Scott and his uncle, long-time racer Dennis Menard. It took 11 long months but is as consistent as any chassis out there. The Vette is powered by a Reher Morrison 540ci Chevy engine, Powerglide transmission and 4:10 rear end. The fastest ET is 8.69 @ 159 MPH with a 1.21 short time.

Scott has won multiple Top and Hot Rod series races at New England Dragway. In 2006 he won the New England Dragway Hot Rod Series Championship. He also performed well in 2007 finishing third. Scott finished off the 2008 Hot Rod season with 2 wins and finished 6th in points for the year. In 2009, Scott won a Top Series race and three Hot Rod Series races, coming in 2nd in points in the Action Racing Photos Hot Rod Series, 14 points behind Champion, Ray Knight.

Scott has been using Portatree practice systems since 1996 and credits his winning reaction times to the practice he gets at home and at the track.
