Paul Dilley
Paul Dilley is one of our customers from Australia. He races a 1987 Ford Fairmont. Here is some information he sent us: the engine in the car I have had for approx 20 years, it is a std stroke 351 cleveland with cast iron 2v heads. The trans is a c4 with 5200 rpm convertor and the rear end is a Ford 9" with 4.56 gears.
We footbrake the car and generally run in what they call over here Super Street, it has a bottom cut off off 11.00 seconds.
In 2005 we were track, bracket, and club champion at Beneraby raceway here in Queensland Australia and ran through to the semi’s at the Winternational where this photo was taken.
Since the car has been rebuilt and is a bit quicker we sometimes run in the next quicker class.
Car has run a best of 10.64 @ 126.5 mph
